Newlyweds would visit the stones.
It is properly the westernmost standing stone in France as well.

D.H. Lawrence, the author came here in 1916 with his german-born wife, but was ordered to leave by police because of suspicions they were german spies.

There is also a mermaid legend.

There is also the 5,000 years-old Zennor Quoit, a capstoned stone age tomb.
